Welcome to Walkerston Early Learning Centre
Walkerston Day Care Centre was built around one question: how should a childcare centre be designed for the way young children actually learn?
We brought together architects and early childhood educators to create it – light-filled rooms, a quiet sleep space for babies, and outdoor areas made for exploring. But buildings don’t raise children, people do. Our educators know every child and family by name. When you call, the person who answers knows your child. We’d love to show you around.

The heart
of our service
Walkerston Daycare children are nurtured by an experienced and qualified Team of Early Childhood Educators, who focus on extending learning through play-based experiences and allow the children take the lead in the development of their curriculum.
Our team includes an Educational Leader, who guides our curriculum and mentors our educators; a university-qualified Early Childhood Teacher, who leads our kindergarten program; and qualified, professional early childhood educators in every room.
Many of us are locals – your child may well be cared for by someone whose own children went to school just down the road, and who’ll still ask after your family years from now in the IGA queue.
